Cult of Rapture, the official community of BioShock, is arranging a competition for those with some artistic vision and talent. Also, the contents of the Limited Edition have been announced.
The Limited Edition will be available on the release date, 21st of August. The fancy embossed/debossed package will contain a Big Daddy figurine, a Making Of DVD, and a soundtrack CD all for the price of $59.99 (PC LE) and $69.99 (Xbox 360 LE). The European price was not disclosed.
The winning design of the artsy competition will be featured as the cover art of the Limited Edition BioShock. The prizes are following:
3rd will receive an exclusive Cult of Rapture tee shirt and a copy of the BioShock Limited Edition for both Xbox 360 and PC.
2nd will receive an official Xbox 360 faceplate, a Cult of Rapture tee, an exclusive Cult of Rapture download on Xbox Live, and a copy of the BioShock Limited Edition for both Xbox 360 and PC.
1st will get their art on the cover of the BioShock Limited Edition, a copy of the BioShock Limited Edition for both Xbox 360 and PC, and an all-expense paid trip from their home anywhere in the world to the BioShock Launch Party in August.
The designs should not contain any text and should be vector graphics without any gradients, soft edges or shadows. The size is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 (or 135mm by 190mm). Further information can be found on the contest page.
