Criterion has announced Burnout 5, the completely new, completely next-gen, Burnout experience for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Burnout 5 is to feature a new open ended style of gameplay introducing gamers to the new home of Burnout; Paradise City. Designed as a seamless racing battleground filled with heavy traffic and series-signature heart-pounding action and explosion packed gameplay. Burnout 5 is a complete reinvention of the series, built from the ground up for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, commented Alex Ward, director of game design at Criterion Games. To create truly next-generation gameplay, we needed to create a truly next-generation game, from top to bottom.
Expect bigger pile-ups, expect faster cars, expect heavier traffic and expect more explosions than ever before. Expect to buckle-up for EA´s release sometime next year.
