FlatOut 2, developed by Bugbear Entertainment, has sold over one million copies worldwide in just over six months. The game has also won several awards including Xbox Best Racing Game of 2006 from G4’s X-Play games show, beating contestants such as Need for Speed Carbon and Test Drive Unlimited. Coupled together with FlatOut 1, the FlatOut franchise has sold over 2 million copies.
FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage will take advantage of the additional feature sets and improved processing ability of Xbox 360. The game will be rebuilt from the ground up, making it an entirely new FlatOut experience. We revealed FlatOut: UC in July 2006.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage will include many new design and gameplay components such as 12 cars racing on screen up from eight in FlatOut 2, five new single player and two new multiplayer game modes over Xbox Live, over 8,000 dynamic objects per track up from 5,000 in FlatOut 2. Also the game features widescreen High Definition resolution (720p), dynamic lighting and shadowing with proper real-time environment mapping on all vehicles, downloadable content via Live, and 20,000 polygons per car. Up from 7,500 in the previous generation.

The release date is in June 2007.
