At the 7th annual Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA), Xbox 360´s Gears of War surpassed other nominees by grabbing three awards, including the Best Game award. The shooter designed by Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios also received awards for Technology and Visual Arts.
The other awarded game, concerning X360, was Guitar Hero II, which won the Best Audio award. Guitar Hero II is designed by Harmonix Music Systems and RedOctane and is due to release on X360 in April.
The Game Developers Choice Awards is the only peer-based, open nomination awards program in the gaming industry where developers are nominated and awarded by developers.
