Six Atari classics will be released on Xbox Live Arcade throughout the year 2007, beginning in January. These titles will include Centipede, Battlezone, Tempest, Asteroids, Warlords and Missile Command. All titles will be presented in their original classic form, as well as in a new updated form. New special effects, high definition graphics and enhanced sound effects decorate the next-gen versions of the games.
Senior Vice President of Atari Networks, Chris Bergstresser said: ”Years ago, we couldn´t even have imagined how gorgeous the classic games from 25 years ago would look with high definition graphics, but Xbox 360 has allowed us to make that leap.”
Entirely new titles can also be expected for Live Arcade, as many developers are currently working on fresh Live Arcade games.
