Sony´s third installment of the successful Playstation series has oversold Microsoft´s Xbox 360 in the land of the rising sun. Xbox 360 has sold 180 000 copies during its year´s stay in Japan, whereas Playstation 3 achieved 190 000 in a month. If this weren´t enough, Sony´s newest console would have probably sold more if it wasn´t for their problems in providing enough consoles to the market.
It might be obvious that the American Xbox 360 will never be able to rise to the number one spot in Japan like its Japanese cousins Nintendo´s Wii and Sony´s Playstation, but with titles like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon in Microsoft´s stable, the race might become at least a little bit closer.
